well..today was totally unproductive, did some interview with alex about homosexuality, transgender and transsexual. the stupid pig wouldnt do any work so i had to arrange it FOR him -___-"

but i actually did learn some stuff, like transsexual people, they were actually born and cant identify themselves with the body they have, meaning we identify them as guys cos of their genitals, but they themselves just cant, and it's like a woman stuck in a man's body. when left untreated, it can cause mental problems which can even lead to suicide....! hence, theres a "sex reassignment therapy" thing they go for, which includes hormones and sex reassignment surgery..and the whole thing takes up to quite a few years really..
and all along i keep thinking of the trannies in thailand and i thought it was just their own personal choice to go under the knife and be female..

but anyway we were on the way to uni, and we heard on the radio that Steve Irwin, aussie's croc hunter has passed away!its just so shocking!i can't believe what we heard but yeh he passed away this morning due to a sting from a stingray...it's just unbelievable cos hes always been doing heaps scary stuff-wrestling with crocs and alot of other reptiles, and now hes gone cos of a stingray's sting (which people say dont normally attack and when they do, wont be as venomous as to take your life away) ..but yeh, this just goes to show how unpredictable life is (sha!) and we should really appreciate every single day and every single person you know etcetc. really hope the family's ok, Steve Irwin was a national icon, and on the news before, everyone were really shocked and sad about the loss...but yeh, hope his family will be ok..

i thot i might go on blogskins to get some motivation, and this blogskin is the epitome of CUTE.
:) no, im not addicted to teeth cartoons (what with my msn dp as a sad tooth)
but they are very cute!if only real teeth have 30% of their cuteness....

but actually, baby teeth are kinda cute(ones that rnt decayed-.-) but yeh...
anyway, talking about baby/primary teeth..all i've been doing on my patients are primary restorations...... -____-"

not that i'm complaining, but i think i have lots of practise with class 1 restorations already!i've completed 5patients to date, and i've done 4 GIC fillings, all class1s..bleh...am waiting for more challenging stuff, some of my classmates have done pulpotomies and even extractions! and here's wen who somehow always gets the patients with quite good teeth and oral hygiene...but i'm seeing a new one on the coming up wednesday, and altho this sounds very bad/mean -__-, hopefully he/she has something more challenging for me to do!

i think we're pretty confident with patients already, i remember my first filling on a real patient took almost half an hour! that's pretty long considering i was using GIC(most managable material for filling teeth) and plus its a class 1..

hygiene practice wise, i am so screwed for case study presentations!i dont want to do a case presentation on my current patient cos she always get her calculus(tartar) bridge back...and she claims she brushes her teeth...er no i dont think so but yeh...

but anyway enough bout teeth. i'm seriously considering going to the UK after i graduate, pay for dental hygienists are like twice-thrice as much as in aust! but living expenses are very high too :( but i don't want to stay in sydney or singapore for the rest of my life......

i would stay in sydney tho, if i make it to post graduate dentistry, but the chances are like 1 in a thousand since so many people are applying for it :(

i've done the UMAT, no.3 and 4 for this oral health course...but gamsat is five hours!!it's just wayyyyy too long how isit possible for anyone sit still for 5 hours!

bleagh. sometimes i think i should shoot myself for not trying harder at the interview at uni. Adelaide...that's only five years.. i still have 1.5years to go on this course, and postgrad-dent's gna be anthr 4yrs..and the annoying thing is they won't acknowledge what we've learnt in the course(which is pretty much what the bdents learn anyway we have the same lects and stuff) so we have to go thru all those again! gaynessssssss

anyway...enough ranting about boring stuff no one wants to know, xiaoling came to sydney last wensday+thurs! i only got to spend thurs arvo with her cos i had uni that i cant pon as it's clinic..but anyway, she shops too much (very jealous) and she doesnt really like max brenners!how can anyone not like max brenners(www.maxbrenner.com)..... :D the waffles with chocolate and strawberries are awesome....^^

but yeh, spent some time just talking about stuff and laughing at each other's stories..she's gna be going to japan.i think that's really cool how she spends the first two years learning her course in english, but the later 2 years have to be done in japanese!she's gna be fluent in japanese and wear kimonos and take fotos when the cherry blossoms fall....heh

hallo hallo!

i doubt anyone comes to this blog anymore since i havent updated for the loooooooooongest time!haha but suddenly got the urge to blog~

first,trip bac to spore has been worth it :) although havent met up with some people, but overall it was good!yummy food everyday everymeal :) company of family and friends (: ahh..being back feels great~ did plenty of shopping..hmm i'll just mention a few funny thingies..

mon couldnt get the boots off!haha we were trying on boots at zara and mon CANNOT get it off lo!i had to tug at it lyk siao to finally get it off her humongous feet :P damn funnnnnny!

the new 'clique' - me xiaoling sarah! haha no lah its just that we met up alot and yeh..plentyplenty of laughs

the stupid retard siqian wus pushing me to all these lao ah peis so i wus tryin to dodge them la.then rite, she pushed me to this indian man and he alr looked damn pissed off i dun wan him to start screaming at me so i did a '180degrees turn' (according to sq) to avoid hitting him.
BUT my foot caught the ledge of the leehwa showcase area so i stumbled backwards and fell on my butt!it wus alr damnnn loud liao and the next thing we knew, my back hit the glass showcase and the showcase fell backwards..i could see it falling and then the glass shattered everywhere with this superrrr loud noise 'PIANNNNNNG!" waliew eh..DAMN MALUATING LAH!and all these ppl gathered arnd to see and me and the baboonass siqian were just laughing our heads off cos the whole situation wus sooo unbelievable!the leehwa manager came out frm the shop and took us in and asked for our names and numbers..thank goodness its under insurance!!but yeh..damn funnnnny!

just came back after doing my SIXTH exam..one more tmr!

thank god anh rang me this morning or i wud've jus totally MISSED my exam..i fell aslp while reading my notes!!and next ting i noe 'a whole new world' is playing(my fantastic ringtone) and i looked at the clock and its friggin 730!(my exam's at 830 but it takes forever to get from lidcombe to westmead)RAN to the train stn but obviously missed my train(which is at 7:31,7:37..)and so i wus praying super hard dat the next train driver is addicted to SPEED n he is!haha this stupid guy wus taking his time to board the train at auburn stn and the train driver sed "stand clear, doors closing" and the doors closed right in front of the slowpoke's face!despite my er..anxiety dat im going to be shut out of the exam rm, i cudnt help but LAUGH.my goodness his expression wus jus..too funny.. :)

but anyway yes i ran from westmead stn down to the college as well.and when i wus running,this stupid stranger wus lyk "u gotta put more effort into it love" to me and i wus jus..too breathless to yell at him..waliew did more exercise today den all the days combined since i came to sydney!and i made it JUST IN TIME.if i missed this exam my parents will definitely cut off my allowance and let me live on air particles for maybe the next 10yrs. :( but i think i failed the exam today anyway..

anatomy and tooth morphology exam OVER.thank god!!now there's 4 left..but 3 of them are not exactly 'important' or hard..indirectly meaning i can have a good nights sleep instead of staying up studying...

and i got a JOB!a perfume/cosmetics promoter at myers/david jones (dats lyk..metro/tangs in spore i guess) went for the interview yday at this italian cafe called il giamformaio in skygarden..i totally stuffed up the interview!firstly, wus wearin casuals not dose professional lookin stuff and den durin the interview dey kept askin me the same qn lyk "why are u interested in this company", "why do u want to be a representative for this company"....and i jus kept sayin how im interested in perfumes n cosmetics (which isnt true actually -__-") and how i thot it wud be a good learning experience but they were lyk waiting for more..so i jus very honestly sed "and i thot i wud be able to get free perfumes..." -_____-" yes so i alr confirm nt gettin the job liao..but later on dey told me dey wud lyk to offer me a job!so surprising! :) but it starts in august..and theres this training thing in july.im still not too sure about it..like maybe they offered everyone a position n den later fire us one by one..?but anyway HAHAHAH i cant bliff i got THIS particular job..not smth lyk waitressing or clothes shop assistant..but a perfume/cosmetic promoter!!dats lyk how un-newnew lah!omy..

went to aussie stadium to watch the footy between the manly sea eagles and sydney roosters!oh man the atmosphere is..so COOL!dere were 20 000 people watching the match!!well, 19787 to be more precise and yeh..wus cheering for manly thruout the match and THEY WON!!and the manly fans just went berserkkk!but yes i understand footy now haha n WE'RE BRONCOS SUPPORTERSSS!! woke at bout 1130..den met up w jo n ronny bout 4?went to the opera house(yawns) n we went on a ferry ride!hahaha bobbing up n downn..it wus soooo frigging cold tho!but anyway after dat walked around to find a good place to eat n we decided on "da niang's dumpling house" in chinatown..so damn nice lah!the food,deco..overall quite nice..jus dat we had to wait quite a while for the food..n i fell over walking UP the stairs how maluatinggggg!

anw after we bummed around daring each other to do stupid stuff -____-" ronny went up to this chick askin for a pad n he got snubbed to the max!and jo n me carried the "70% off!" signs for the 2 morning glory people..omy they were rather amused(putting it mildly)hahaha!i wanted to get it over n done with so i kinda jus grabbed his sign n waved it about whereas jo shouted out "seventyyyy percent offff!" cos the morningglory dude made her..HAHAAH.later on i hugged this old man so rubbish loh!he wus lyk "hows it going?" while i hugged him n i jus sed "going good" n dashed off...

i must be the..best sleeper lah!(i meant that in the cleanest way) but yeh.woke up at about 8:10am ALREADY 10minutes late for my lecture..so i msged erandi n sed i wunt be able to make radiography lect but i'll get there for the other lects (cariology,tooth morphology..and radiography PRACT) n i wus sposed to haul myself out of bed n hit the showers but i ended up dozing off..and waking up at 12.30pm!!which means i basically missed all my lects.the right thing to do wud be to chiong down to westmead hospital n go for my clinical observation n radiography pract but..remembering today is payday :)..i headed down to parra and bummed around w jo,sanjay,ronny n alex. :)

my pa dint transfer money to me in the morning lyk he used to so imagine my SHOCK n DISMAY when i realised deres still only 11bucks in my acct!(this is lyk 3pm liao)i wus lyk STUNNED in front of the atm machine lah!!hurried up called him(a waste of my credit) n hes lyk bellowing in my ear "IM TRANSFERRING NOW!!" after bout anthr 15mins i went to check and felt DAMN relieved lah! :D i m RICH...now.

but anyway, todays been another average day.wake up at the crack of dawn get into the lanpok shower which takes lyk forever to get warm water (ie hence first few seconds i wus FREEZING lah) trudged 15mins to the train station blahblahblahhh . i must say i have a lot of willpower.only ate an apple for lunch n wus lyk STARVING but didnt go n buy anything.money is tight..only have about $1.30 on me now!so damn pooooor!

BUT tmr is PAYDAY!haahahah i get money from parents tmr! :) n i shall buy my nice ugg boots n eat pancakes with icecream without feeling like i should buy cheaper food from woolworths or smth..ok im not making any sense here HMMM.
